For bout #5 of Matchup Monday were going with two Cowboys from Oklahoma State. Former 165 pounder, two-time national champion, and 4-time all-american Johnny Hendricks will be taking on the Cowboys’ current 165 pounder, 3-time all-american, and also two-time national champion Alex Dieringer. When Johnny Hendricks stepped foot on the mat the entire arena knew it, because half the crowd couldn’t stand him, while the other half  of the crowd loved him. Hendricks may have enjoyed getting a rise out of the crowd, but whatever he said verbally he was able to backup physically, and regardless of how you felt about him when Johnny Hendricks was about to wrestle you knew you were in for a show.

However, despite his very exciting and even more so impressive career Hendricks is hardly a favorite when it comes to this Matchup against arguably the best current pound for pound wrestler in the nation. Alex Dieringer only has four losses in his career thus far, and won his last NCAA title in dominating fashion by a score of 14-7 over Taylor Walsh of Indiana, which was also his 100th career victory.

Who wins this Matchup between the two dominate 165 pounders  out of Oklahoma State? Will current UFC Phenom and former Oklahoma State Cowboy  Johnny Hendricks pick up the W, or will the current Cowboy Alex Dieringer do what he does best and pull out another victory in his quest to become a 3-time national champion? It’s time to find out!
